How do I pay for the class?

You can pay by cash, check, or credit cards. We accept all major credit cards including American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. We also accept Paypal. You can register securely online on this website or we can take payment over the phone. Under special situations we will accept checks and cash at the time of class. FULL payment is due before you take a class NO ACCEPTION.

Are your courses through the American Heart Association?

Yes! All of our courses are based off the American Heart Association Guidelines. Our BLS for Healthcare Provider class is through the American Heart Association.. The CPR, AED, and First Aid course is based off the AHA Guidelines as well. It is 100% guaranteed!

Who will teach my class?

A Certified American Heart Association Instructor.

Which American Heart Association CPR certification classes do you offer?

Cherished CPR offers Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers classes, We have sections specifically for first time certifications, as well as renewals.

 

We also offer CPR for non-healthcare professionals. This is the American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR Class. This class is for personal trainers, teachers, coaches, and anyone who wants to learn CPR and AED training for infants, children and adults.

Which class do I need if I'm in a healthcare or emergency/medical school program? My school says I need a CPR class for adults, children & infants including AED training.

You need Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. This is an American Heart Association CPR class that will satisfy all medical school and healthcare program CPR and life support requirements. This class in also known as BCLS and CPR Certification for Healthcare Providers. This is the course you need if you are in nursing school, medical school, dental school, any emergency medical training program, etc. This course will also satisfy hospital, medical and surgery center, and all other employer required certifications.

How long is a typical class?

Although the actual time will vary slightly due to class enrollment, generally BLS/CPR classes are 3-4 hours .

When are your classes held?

All upcoming classes can be found on the cherishedcpr website. In each class page the link to the CPR calendar is located under each picture.

How do I sign up for your classes?

 on the website on the booking page, call the office or send me an email stating the course you would like to attend, your name, and a contact phone number.

How long are the certifications valid?

All of our AHA certifications (CPR,AED, First Aid) are valid for 2 years.

My 2 year AHA Provider Card for BLS just expired. Do I need to take the first time class again or can I can a renewal class?

No. If your card recently expired (within 7 days) and you are currently working as a healthcare provider or in any medical field you can take the renewal class at renewal price. If it's been more than 7 days you will be charged new student rates.

Do I need to purchase an AHA manual?

Yes. The American Heart Association requires that every student has a AHA manual prior to, during and after class. You can purchase one from us at the time of checkout if you do not currently have access to one.

Will I have to share a manikin with someone else?

Yes, this gives you more realistic hands on practice.

Will I learn how to us a AED?

Absolutely!

Will Cherished CPR come to my office or home to teach a class?

Yes! the only requirement is to provide 5 minimum students.

What cities do you certify with AHA CPR certification for healthcare providers?

Because AHA CPR certifications are required for all healthcare employees and students, Cherished CPR will currently travel to all of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

Do you charge more to come to our office?

No additional charges.

How large of a group can you teach?

We can currently accommodate any size group up to 20 students!

Will I receive my American Heart Association card at the end of the class?

Yes, Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive an AHA CPR certification card that is valid for two years within 24 hours.

Do you teach Spanish CPR and First Aid?

Not currently, BUT we are looking to hire a Spanish speaking instructor.

I took your class but lost my card. What do I do?

Give us a call at the office and we will send you a new card at no cost if you took the class with us.

What should I wear?

The class involves hands-on practice so it is best if you wear comfortable clothes. If you have long hair it’s best to wear it back.
